The first 360 social media marketing project

While working at a PR agency, I had the amazing opportunity to be part of Mercedes-Benz Bulgaria | Silver Star and their digital marketing journey. We started our amazing partnership with building a consistent and diverse social media strategy. They entrusted me with implementing new concepts to their digital presence and gave me the freedom to expand their content and advertising status quo. For two years we developed successful campaigns that led to 25% increase in sales for the company during the first year. We engaged the Bulgarian market with what the company had to say and share and laid the base for success.

Results

Introduced Livestreaming

Livestreaming events on both Facebook and Instagram brought higher engagement to the company’s pages and gave users a perspective they have not experienced until then. Vertical and horizontal formats were used to test the audience responce. The most viewed livestream was the introduction of the new Actros – with more than 500,000 video views on Facebook.

 

Drone livestreams were also tested and the audience seemed to respond quite well to this kind of content. Discussion rates went up, as well as, the organic visibility of Mercedes-Benz Bulgaria profiles.

Social Media Coverage at Events

Livestreaming at events was one thing, but engaging the audience through stories on Instagram and Facebook had its influence. At that time, the competition was not using Instagram’s full potential of stories and highlights and Mercedes-Benz in Bulgaria took the lead in engaging users in real time.

User Generated Content

Introducing User Generated Content into the content strategy for Mercedes-Benz in Bulgaria’s Instagram account, proved to be one of the main drivers of the profile’s growth. Involving local photographers and providing users with local content was key.
