Everybody knows it, nobody talks about it openly. This is the reality checklist of what this field is really like. Constant battle for clients, competing with extremely low prices, having clients that don’t really understand what it is that you do… I can go on and on and on. Sometimes I wonder whether the pros outweigh the cons. Some days are full of utter despair and want to make you give up on humanity, and other days are full of art, creation, success and utter fulfilment! This is definitely a field that is not for everybody, although every other person thinks they’re a specialist at it, because they’ve watched a few tutorial videos online or took a course. Digital marketing is not just about knowing the theory, but about countless hours of practice, mistakes, unexpected wins, research, creativity and an ever-changing landscape. It is a beautiful field for those who understand it and enjoy it, and it is made a nightmare for the same people by the monopoly of channels and “know-it-all” clients and specialists.
