How to manage client communication and expectations

Whether it is about price negotiations, micromanagement from your client’s side, or having to deliver results for yesterday. In this article, learn how you can handle these situations better.
Have you ever been in one of these situations? Maybe more than one?
We need better results!

The phone rings. It's your client again, angrily complaining again that the results from their $10 facebook ad are not satisfying.

Why don't we have sales?

You open a whatsapp message/e-mail from your client, asking you why aren't sales up within the second day of your campaign.

This is too expensive

You send an offer to a potential client and the feedback you receive is that the price of $25 per post is outrageously high and that they can find someone to create content for them for $5 per post.

I personally have been in all above-mentioned situations and many more within the same line…But before we dive into how these situations can be better dealt with and navigated, we need to dive into the actual reality checklist of what the digital marketing industry really is.

SPOLER alert – continue reading with caution! The following text might shatter your perception and beliefs about the field.

The reality checklist of digital marketing

Everybody knows it, nobody talks about it openly. This is the reality checklist of what this field is really like. Constant battle for clients, competing with extremely low prices, having clients that don’t really understand what it is that you do… I can go on and on and on. Sometimes I wonder whether the pros outweigh the cons. Some days are full of utter despair and want to make you give up on humanity, and other days are full of art, creation, success and utter fulfilment! This is definitely a field that is not for everybody, although every other person thinks they’re a specialist at it, because they’ve watched a few tutorial videos online or took a course. Digital marketing is not just about knowing the theory, but about countless hours of practice, mistakes, unexpected wins, research, creativity and an ever-changing landscape. It is a beautiful field for those who understand it and enjoy it, and it is made a nightmare for the same people by the monopoly of channels and “know-it-all” clients and specialists.
